The US government has long abandoned its duty to protect its citizens. Our quality of life means little to those in power, whose priorities lie in preserving their own influence and wealth. We cannot thrive as a nation when leadership neglects the well-being of the people.

Anyone accused of a sex crime who settled or was found guilty should be permanently barred from holding public office. Leaders must embody integrity and accountability, and such histories are incompatible with positions of public trust

Being caught in a significant lie or omission should end a political career—not just due to public rejection, but because our institutions must reject dishonesty. Policies must ensure leaders who undermine trust and integrity are barred from holding power.

In cases like abortion, where lived experiences differ, untrained male opinions should carry no weight, most especially when their DNA is not involved. Gender equality in law is essential.
