#Furlough
I don't think Satan's going to furlough you just for that, my dude.
Trump on the White House: "If anyone ever decides to come and start knocking down walls, call me wherever I may be, and I will make sure it never happens, okay?"

a quarter appears
in his hand behind my ear
all us children cheered

Trump is lying. Horton was out a weekend furlough, a program started by the Repub. gov right before Dukakis.
In 1987, he didn't come back from his 10th furlough. He committed crimes. Kidnapped a couple, raped the woman 2x,stole car, assault& attempted murder male companion.Bad enough.

just found out furlough can only last 10 days max in cali, so im essentially laid off already

It's the new "furlough".

I feel like Schumer has folded like a deck chair way more often, especially concerning important bills and Senate confirmations. Also with issues like the government shutdown, where even the government staffers who were on furlough were begging for the congressional Dems to hold the line, he folded.

This happened in the UK.

The Tories stole our money by various means - fake PPE, furlough crime, useless Test & Trace expense, BREXIT (includes Farage) and just walked away, failing upwards into lucrative contracts after Labour came to power.

The evil millionaire overlords never face retribution.

We're going to be driving up to Toronto next month and buddy Toronto is fucking expensive on furlough.

Socialism for masssive corporations. It's like Branson asking for furlough for his staff during COVID. When do billionaires actually pay their share?

This is in my hands' job description. And they been on furlough too long now.
Waking up to a fine Black man’s hands massaging my feet would have been divine. But alas…

Stop their funding. Charge and try the killers. Reappoint immigration judges. Furlough ICE agents. Close the private prisons. Cancel their contracts. Find a way to remove Mullins, Homan and Miller. Introduce new immigration laws.

I’ve been saying this for so long my throat is dry. Modern capitalism *calculates* getting every last penny out of our pockets, no matter how much we are paid. It now calculates getting every penny out of the government too.
All that Covid furlough money has floated up to the top 1%.

Ha! Excellent news, hope he enjoys the move, tell him to say hello when he's signed up. Closest I ever got to gardening leave was being on furlough during COVID, I didn't do any gardening either, but I had a wonderful time.

The Democrats need to be ready and willing to just say fuck it and force a Constitutional crisis. Impeach the bastard and zero out funding for the White House if Trump bucks. Don't even pay the electric bill. Furlough the entire Secret Service personal protection department. Fuck 'em.
November 3, 2026 at 9:55 PM
yeah often times it was much more like I guess what we would call a furlough now. you got laid off during a slow period but you knew there was a good chance you’d get called back. at a lot of places people didn’t even really look for new jobs they were so used to the pattern

France is a cautionary tale for the UK - it broadly made the same mistakes that we did (huge borrowing especially on furlough during COVID, too little investment in existing public services, high welfare, low economic growth).
And unstable government.

Burnham faces the same reforms. #r4today

They treated the payroll like collateral. Kennedy Center leaders tied millions in foundation money to keeping Trump's name on the building, and the staff who actually run the place were left holding the furlough threat. The art was never the point. The signage was.

Test & Trace -£37bn
Covid VIP lane - £925m
Covid furlough fraud - £3.5bn
Etc

Your point?

This problem isn't confined to MPs
There are thousands of ppl who exploited the Covid subsidy schemes including claiming furlough grants whilst workers were working
November 1, 2026 at 2:01 PM
I wonder if you cross referenced these companies against those who claimed Bounce Back loans & furlough grants, who later were dissolved, what the outcome would be?
November 1, 2026 at 12:51 PM
Costs and corruption. ICE needs to be shut down tomorrow. Close it, furlough the workers and review all the buddy deals they’ve done. File charges against all the murderers in their ranks.

Make them explain themselves and their extra-judicial murders and law-breaking in public.

"I was so enraged that I left him at the door and asked him to give me the key of our house. Naturally he went to live with Miss Tanning. But a few days later her husband came back from the Navy on furlough, and she and Max both had to flee.
