#OTD in 1943. A Typhoon IB from 486 Squadron. It was frequently mistaken for a FW190. Hence, the identification markings. #WW2 #HISTORY

Progress on 2 FW190. The Eduard A8 getting paint, (cheap airbrush to the rescue after the Sparmax debacle), and the Revell D9 in mid assembly. I also have an Eduard FW190 D11 in a box. Will use the experience from these 2 when I do that build. #HistScaleModels
Eduard FW 190 A8, after clever putty taken off. Just the yellow chin to be painted before it gets a clear coat, decals and weathering. Early build stages for the Revell FW190 D9, (Dora). Early black spray before wing and empennage assembly. A8 oleo and D9 cockpit painted. Seatbelts to be added to the cockpit before it goes into the fuselage.

There's a Wurger on my workbench. 1/48 Eduard FW190 A8. Nice kit, fit so far is excellent, all the reviews say getting the spar right is key so I'm taking my time. Tomorrow I'll paint the cockpit and start the PE. #HistScaleModels

I picked up one of the new-tool Airfix Fw190 kits – an aircraft I’ve never built – late last year, and after reading about it in an old Squadron in action book decided I’d knock it out, since I really enjoy Luftwaffe fighter camouflage. putteringinthestudy.com/2026/02/23/f... #HistScaleModels
