Just dropped eldest off for a Buck’s Party at Urban Axe Throwing in Fyshwick - quick glance at their website tells me they don’t serve alcohol - well at least that is one saving grace…😱

PSA There is a gormless looking beast of a man with ginormous arms and an arse you could bounce a penny off of working at Deli Planet at the Fyshwick markets. Absolute perfection.

OK retail therapy - Fyshwick markets, Kia-Ora NZ sustainable salmon, twice the price as the Tasmanian stuff but so worth it - also Italian deli, guanciale and Carnaroli rice - bunch of fresh herbs - so good :)

*A hard-bitten motor vehicle inspector in his last week before retirement must work with the boffins at a secret three-letter agency to foil a foreign government stealing valuable sports betting data. There is subplot about how his adult kids have gone no contact. Grab "Red Fyshwick" on VHS.*

Out and about on a glorious Sunday Canberra morning and ventured into the wilds of Belconnen, first time I’ve been to the markets since the did them up - maybe a decade ago, and now I’m off to the Fyshwick markets which has more stuff 😝

just got a call from the eldest son who is going to a buck's party in the Canberra suburb of Fyshwick (known for a variety of things including brothels) who just asked me for a lift - I said oh yeah, and before I even asked he said they're going axe throwing...

This just happened at the Fyshwick markets. A car is potentially a lethal weapon! Drive accordingly. If you want to reverse, do not drive forward! Nobody was hurt, thank goodness. I was in the shop at the time. Lucky, lucky escape. #Canberra

The Fyshwick Fresh Food Market in Canberra, Australia is a classic case of car optimised, pedestrian neglecting design.

The market is centred on the car park. Car parks also take up space that could be used for more stores/stalls.

that said I just phoned Sweet Apple in Fyshwick, said they had loads of medieval gear, but closed on a Wednesday, if that's any use :)

When stating you are going to Fyshwick you always need to clarify why.(especially important in the early 80s.)
