Huge congrats to River North, Cannonball Creek, and Westbound & Down who all won GABF Brewery of the Year in their classes. Well deserved. All making excellent, imaginative stuff.

I once won something at GABF for answering a trivia question correctly. Of *course* I knew that POLARIS is the name of the band who performed Hey Sandy for Pete & Pete
I actually recently started a re-watch from the beginning. I'd say I probably hadn't seen the majority of episodes since the first time they aired. It totally holds up. I had recently seen it described as "'Twin Peaks' for kids," which felt accurate, but I had to be sure.

Every year, I looked forward to flying to Denver for GABF in the fall and cracking open a Santa Fe Oktoberfest with my friend Kyle. This year, with GABF a shell of its former self and Santa Fe dialing back Colorado distro, we decided to go straight to the source.

This is fucking awful. Iron Hill turned out some of the very best beers in a region that was packed with some of the best brewers in the country. Countless GABF medals and World Beer Cup wins over the years says as much. What a loss for the beer community
