Ghana with 2!

Definitely a mishit cross, but Ivy Osei Owusu won't care. She fought to get free on the right, and shross found the far-side netting.

South Korea has come out with their midblock, inviting Ghana to possess then looking for counter. Ghana have gotten forward, and they have 8 shots to Korea's 2, but none of been on target for Ghana.

Yikes. Ghana's second-string keeper, Precious Akanguwie is not down and getting medical attention after a collision attempting to clear a corner.

Ruth Agudu Sebbie warming up. Akanguwie is up and continuing, but Ghana may really be testing that keeper depth.

Goal Korea!

The Koreans ruin my match-wrap skeet by scoring late in stoppage time, but it was a pretty goal. Beom Yeju with a blast for 35+ yards out.

Small consolation for a pretty poor outing.

Goal Ghana!

Some nice buildup sees Sarah Nyarko receive the ball at the top of the box, and she fires a shot into the side netting, past the diving Kim Chaebeen.

They've been knocking. Goal finally came.

Full time in Group C.

Ghana 3-1 South Korea

Ghana with a great rebound from their opening match. They were invited to attack by Korea, and they took the offer.

Koreans did not offer much until the end when they pressured Ghana higher.

Ghana have the ball in the net, but it's offside.

Sarah Nyarko was ahead of her defender & the ball. I believe it was Priscilla Mensah that played the ball to her, but she was in on goal and should have taken the shot, herself.

Ghana getting closer.
