Medical transition for trans kids is now banned for new referrals on the NHS. Trans kids in the UK can still go private or DIY (for now).
This means the new clinics that replaced GIDS are close to useless at best, conversion therapy at worst. 1/5

We are hearing that those few who were on NHS GIDS prescribed puberty blockers before GIDS closed, who were transferred to a small legacy clinic at Nottingham, are now being told all referrals for MDT panel approval to start hormones have been stopped. 1/2

But now we know, Alice and a second young adult were NOT counted because if you were referred to GIDS but aged out of services before being seen, you weren't considered to have ever been a patient of GIDS so your data was not sent for analysis. This will be most trans youth at the time under review.
