On September 16th, GVSU-AWRI’s Laker Raker’s removed 1,161 litter items in 50 minutes after heavy rain and high waves moved through the Muskegon area last week. That’s 22.3 items per minute! Nice catch for the #GLPCleanup!

The Laker Raker joined Meijer’s Adopt-a-Beach cleanup at Muskegon’s Pere Marquette Park. It is a part of the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup, an initiative of the Council of the Great Lakes Region and Pollution Probe in Canada funded by Meijer. #GLPCleanup #Shorelinecleanup
