CONNECT and CREATE. The first law of Ecology is everything is connected to everything else. To connect with the #greatmothermarch I spent the day at Mattawoman Creek Art Center. Saw osprey, walked in nature, drank coffee offered by delightful artists and made heARTs.

READ and HIGHLIGHT. Connecting energetically with the #greatmothermarch by reading The Beginning Comes After the End By Rebecca Solnit. Got my highlighter out in the preface, before Rebecca’s beginning began. “We’re the ancestors of tomorrow, so we behave accordingly.” — Madonna Thunder Hawk

SOLIDARITY between GIRLS. To connect energetically with the #greatmothermarch, I perused the creative contributions to humanity at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Looking forward to spending the day with the Great Mother Marchers in DC on April 22nd.

EGGS and LEGENDS. To connect with the #greatmothermarch from afar, I painted eggs red. Legend has it that St. Mary Magdalene proclaimed to Emperor Tiberius, “Christ is Risen!" Tiberias scoffed that it was as likely the egg in her hand could turn red. The egg immediately turned scarlet.

HEAR the CRUNCH. Walked around DC, the Earth Day destination of the #greatmothermarch. So much stimuli. Thankful for the gravel paths. The crunch of the stones made it easier to focus on the GMM’s intention. Crunch and focus on unity. Crunch and see our shared humanity.

PURDY, PURDY, PURDY. Connecting energetically with the #greatmothermarch by gardening in my yard and listening to birdsong. Preparing the soil where we lost a tree. Daydreaming about what to plant. What would the tree want? A Northern Cardinal replied, “Purdy, Purdy, Purdy, yup, yup, yup.”

DANCING with INKBLOTS. Connecting energetically with the #greatmothermarch by dancing to “I Am the Mountain” while folding laundry. My great Mom said all Rorschach inkblot cards look like laundry. Don’t know if it was her joke but it still makes me laugh.

CREATE in NATURE. Connecting energetically with the #greatmothermarch by making a found in nature display.

PLANT and GROW. In spiritual, long-distance support of the #greatmothermarch, I ordered a No Drama Mama Dahlia tuber collection. They also had the Dahlia tuber with the same name as my Mom. Wahoo. So excited, they’re hard to find.

WALK and LOOK UP. In spiritual, long-distance support of the #greatmothermarch, I walked in the forest. Communed with Mother Nature. Listened to a babbling brook. Saw a red-shouldered hawk. And wondered who planted the daffodils.

DO THE GOOD. Connected with the #greatmothermarch from afar . . . in the Catoctin mountains. Saw display on female contributions to our country, many tributes to Mother Mary and even Mother Seton’s dancing shoes. A beautiful day to sit in Mary’s grotto creating heARTs.

May the #GreatMotherMarch grow in strength and influence as they approach the nation's Capitol. 🙌🙏🙌
