switching to grub2-bls as the new default was a bad move imo. its buggy and doesnt support any of the features that grub2 normally does. even systemd-boot is better than this

how familiar are you with linux/windows bootloaders, and decoupling them as needed. grub2 is nice to use but you gotta be familiar with how to set it up without destroying your existing setup. dualbooting (grub2 esp) can be okay but if you don't want to Computer, its really hard to recc tbh.

Speaking of boot security, I'll be researching if #FreeBSD boot partition encryption is doable like with some #Linux and Grub2...
Don't forget to set a boot loader password too. Otherwise when encryption is broken someone can throw it in single user mode and reset root's password. A lot of folks overlook that.
