A few hundred people gathered Thursday afternoon in front of the Nevada State Capitol for a demonstration organizers called Good Trouble Lives On, a national day of nonviolent action. The demonstration was one of the smallest in the capital city since protestors began monthly demonstrations critical of Trump administration policies. A few counter demonstrators were on hand as well. Thursday's demonstration was part of a nationwide event highlighting the anniversary of the passing of Congressman John Lewis, a civil rights leader known as the "conscience of the Congress" who at the age of 25 was brutally beaten March 7, 1965 while helping hundreds of peaceful protestors across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama on March 7, 1965.
