one of my favorite things about my morning journeys around the world of listings is getting something in Japan that I barely recognize and am astonished to find still exists until I realize yes, it’s Japan, of course it does, that’s just what Japan does

1) start protocoled Mg gtt 1 g/hr
2) amio load & gtt
3) wait a few hrs
4) 1 mg ibutilide
5) if still in AF: DCCV
meds build up & work together
Mg/ibutilide/amio are synergistic
Mg prevents ibutilide-induced TdP #EMIMCC
1) start protocoled Mg gtt 1 g/hr

This version of Past GTT is currently my favorite version of Past GTT because that was delicious and very satisfying.
Shout out to Past GTT who had the foresight to make some meatballs and sauce for a rainy day so that Current GTT, on a literal rainy day, could have a meatball sub for lunch.

the whole point of a NE gtt in HRS-AKI is immediate BP control
tell the ICU RN the target MAP and they will achieve it immediately... that's why NE gtts are great
(and peripheral IV is fine)
