I went to Falmouth Tech (before it became a university) in 1983. One of my tutors was the coxswain of the lifeboat which had taken part in the rescue efforts. One of the unluckiest boats in the race, Gunslinger, was also berthed locally.

I like how DnD is officially turning into Rifts. Instead of homebrewing our Void Priest Jedis storming Whitestone while Gunslinger Thrall shoots up the Chroma Conclave in a Tie-Fighter we only need to spend $300.

The Gunslinger is, I believe, a singular piece of fiction (its not, but you get what I mean). I absolutely adored it, so a follow up was always going to be difficult. That being said, this book has a really wonderful character in Eddie Dean. Without Eddie, this book is like 3/10. But with Eddie, a 7

the game is asking me to go through the entire thing again with an entirely different loadout that isn't guaranteed to be as good as the last one and it's like. exhausting
and it cheapens the reveal of the gunslinger in my opinion cause it's like. oh okay i fucked up the final lore drop

maybe i'm too used to nuclear throne but the game is honestly really slow !!! the presentation gets tiring after like 5000 runs and all the references humor feels dated so it doesn't make up for how slow everything is
