The problem there is acting schools are only supplying identikit actors.
If you ever go into Gaeity School of Acting, all the males and females look the same. Conventionally attractive.

you'd walk down there and the music from the festives and gaeity would fade out, and you'd feel the facade failing, and the truth of what is happening comes back to you, and I believe Child Link can find a dead guard.
The original was adequately dark, but I don't see this remake unsettling anyone.

The incredible Fionnula Flanagan is of course worthy of this honour outside the Gaeity Theatre but every time I see her it's hi Data's Mom! 😅👋

It's Carnival here, and at school drop-off the gaeity and colors seemed a mismatch with the tone of the world.
Then I remembered that's one reason for Carnival: to dare to have fun, throw off cares, pretend otherwise in a thousand chaotic ways.

Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ released in cinemas a day before ‘Eid’. The film has been doing a decent business, yet the numbers are disappointing when compared to Salman’s earlier movies. Infact, even when it’s on its 5th day, the movie is still struggling to reach the 100-crore mark at the box office. While some fans are disappointed, Manoj Desai who is the executive director of Gaeity Galaxy (G7 multiplex) and Maratha Mandir cinemas, has opened up on the public opinion for the movie. He also added that Salman is his friend and Gaeity Galaxy has been Salman’s second home since ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, so he doesn’t want to hurt the actor but he also has to say the truth.

I recall when the evening was quiet enough prisoners could actually hear the nightlife + gaeity emanating from the City.

We went to the Gaeity Theatre panto this evening with our three kids…there is little else as pure. A theatre full of kids, adults and performers giving it loads. Great craic.

what a time last night was
gaeity, absurdity, a lonely Outrunner, vomit, diarrhea, nuns, Protoshita is real???, cults, human arson, clankers, Taz’s canonical Mii…
I could go on, but Chicago came hard at what was ultimately another milestone in @rjcity.bsky.social’s complicated legacy
thanks y’all

Not the Gaeity by any chance? I think by then it would have been the only cinema our side of the river.

Other comedy things that blew my young brain wide open:
June Rogers at the Gaeity Panto
Homer falling out of the ambulance and off the cliff
Ray D'arcy fighting Ted
Doctor doctor, I think I'm a bee - Buzz off, can't you see I'm busy?!

Delighted to hear that the lead singer from Wet Leg is in a same-sex relationship now, because it seems to make her happy compared to prior lads*, because more gayness enhances the gaeity of the world, and because it makes it more likely that someone will do a "je ne regrette Rhian" torch song

The fascist aesthetic is humorless, joyless, infuriated by anything that resembles gaeity and "decadence."
Trump himself is a paradox because he has a campy hedonistic affect, but his administration is filled with people who think their job is to purge "Gen Z boss and a mini."

Olivia Wilde studied in the Gaeity School of Acting, so it's very plausible she worked in a Dublin eatery at the time.

Had a most unexpected, fun day at the Gaeity Panto, Peter Pan, which was absolutely brilliant, followed by my first visit to The Ivy.
Certainly beat the planned day of a swim followed by a marathon Netflix session on the couch.
