Samsung lijkt op het punt te staan een opvolger van de SmartTag 2 uit te brengen, en die is om twee redenen interessant. Beelden die opdoken bij WinFuture tonen niet alleen alweer een compleet nieuw ontwerp met een look van geborsteld aluminium, de SmartTag 3 zou ook voor het eerst werken met het Find My Device-netwerk van Google. Daarmee is Samsungs Bluetooth-tracker niet langer alleen iets voor Galaxy-bezitters.
