#Galleries
Fund the arts. Open galleries. Offer grants for indie projects. Smother the GenAi industry.

You wanna fix the economy? Culture? Give people reasons for hope?

You give them access to art, both as an audience (through galleries, events, and workshops), AND as creators, through financial support.
Now that Bluesky is the official social media app representing the popular will of the United States of America™️, what is our first cultural decree?

Looking at the list of publicly held pieces of ELG art in museums & galleries across the UK there are 13 by John Cooper so this week I'm going to feature his work (having started yesterday!) so here's "The Garden" by him from 1933. It is in the collection at Leeds Museums & Galleries. #JohnCooper

Here's a thread of current exhibitions at West End galleries that are free to visit, starting with my fave - George Shaw's Albion Groans at Anthony Wilkinson in Soho until 14 Nov, featuring evocative Humbrol enamel paintings of Tile Hill in Coventry anthonywilkinsongallery.org/exhibitions/...

Just an incredible story: long-lost Georgia O'Keeffe painting, not seen in public since early 1960s, had been hidden in a closet in an East Village apartment for decades—in its original box from the storied Downtown Gallery, one of most influential NYC art galleries of the 20th century

As I’ve said before, that’s why there’s art shows, website galleries, and prints available. I do the best I can but if a detail gets obscured by type, I just shrug and accept that it’s part of the nature of illustration.
With so many symbolic elements in your cover works, it must be frustrating sometimes to see titles covering parts of them. Do you give publishers any input on title placement (and do they actually listen, haha)?

The best thing about this is that you probably can’t turn it into one of those tiny community libraries or art galleries now.
This stuff is just perverse, sorry. Literally all the time, energy, fundraising, money spent listing a telephone kiosk where no-one is ever going to look at it should instead be about carting it off and putting it in a museum next to a bunch of other communications devices.

Did you know? Art galleries use shapeable and zoomable LED track lights to enhance the artworks details visibility and colors effectiveness. This is an example of how they are adjusted [📹 YiYuan Lighting]
