This short clip shows what happens when we offset the layers in a shell texturing shader to create the illusion of inertia.

✨ Check out our video explaining shell texturing here! 🔗📽️

I started to develop my own game #gamedev

The game should handle a lot of data, so I thought a lot about engines:
1. #bevy -> cool, but underdeveloped
2. selfmade engine -> progress was slow
3. currently: a c++ game (gamelogic) connected to #Godot (for graphical stuff)

and I think it looks cool:

we always talk about separating game logic from visualization. here's how i like to think of the different architecture layers in a game #gamedev #Indiedev #godot

That's... true... 🤔

Then it'd turn into a competition of standing EVEN STRAIGHTER until they're both 7ft or something!

Ever notice how games only give you 10 bullets, while enemies have infinite ammo... until you pick up their gun, and suddenly, it's empty. 😤

How has the porting process gone? Have you been able to use GDNative to reuse your existing gamelogic or have you been rewriting in GDScript or C#?

Ohh I love game that has geographically accurate desert - it's very vast and VERY EMPTY.

I remember Star Wars KOTOR Tatoine- "You've found it ancient ruins no one has seen in 1000 years!" (Thinks: What? I left city, turned right and walked straight for 1 minute). Hastag: gamelogic and gamelimits.

Made a lot of progress on my game for #SizeCon game jam over last couple days. Most of the foundations are in now.

Goal has been to bang out the gamelogic side ASAP with WIP art. Then, spend rest of jam implementing the technical side of art assets

Just encountered an NPC who offered me a cryptic riddle about the existential dread of a rubber chicken. He then proceeded to levitate *upwards* while simultaneously phasing through a wall. Someone please explain the physics. 🤯🐔 #GameLogic #WTF

Always amused at the idea of villains having to scramble for keys and solve obscure puzzles to navigate their own lairs, labs, and dungeons. "Crap, where did I put that breakable object holding my cube shard that finishes the statue to get a coin for this door?"
