Blessed to have been able to play this with longtime friends who all live too far away. Haven't felt this way since Journey, which hits similar notes. Heck, I played through Uru Online (GameTap?!) with one of them, which was our earliest experience with proximity voice.

I love obscure and/or anachronistic early gaming experiences like that; the first Sonic game I ever completed was Knuckles' Chaotix (albeit via GameTap in like 2006). Also my family owned a CD-i, of all things.

The GameTap seasons were made by a completely separate team except for the voice actors and even the people who worked on it said it was just a job that was done poorly. Its not canon and should be counted as a spinoff more than more seasons

It kinda shows within SGC2C itself, with the last (two?) Williams Street West seasons and the Gametap stuff. It kinda felt like they were doing it out of obligation with the former and handing it to people who didn't get it with the latter.

The shard that must not be named much? You lit used it. MCO was being built on the old pre-Gametap online build of Plasma.

GameTap treid to do the Criterion thing with behind the scenes interviews etc. for classic arcade games and such. It flamed out pretty quickly

I had GameTap in college on my brand new Toshiba laptop (it’s as big as whale!) and it was so cool just finding all kinds of stuff on there, from arcade roms to Genesis games to Psychonauts

Spent some time in Flickr this morning looking for some very specific pictures. I found them! And along the way, I found some pictures of myself in 2007 - my massage school era. I was 26 years old! To be so young and full of energy.
