Today's #Garden2026 task is cleaning onions. Best harvest ever! Some will be used soon and most will be frozen. Looking forward to our own garden produce in holiday cooking -- tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, beans, herbs, and squashes/pumpkins.

I always give greenhouse plants a chance to harden off. Tomatoes and tomatillos have passed two nights outdoors under garden fabric with no ill effects. Soon they'll be growing in their summer positions. I'll remove lower leaves and plant them all more deeply than they are in the pots. #Garden2026

Very productive trip to the nursery. Acquired two 'Toma Verde' tomatillos, 2 'Sungold' tomatoes, one 'Rosella' and one 'Candyland Red.' Haven't tried the latter two before, so this will be a voyage of discovery. Plus four dozen impatiens of different colors for the hanging baskets. #Garden2026
