Ruh Roh!
OK, it's not the first thing you'll probably look at, but I really like how those big, round... glasses turned out. Kinda abstraced, but still recognizable. Also , the mouth was a bit of an experiment (no sketch, just color) that worked well. #Art #digitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Figured I'd draw a California condor in the wake of the fires we've had over the past few days. It got a bit abstract with the interior lines. #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Took a fall and sprained both wrists the other day. Typing with two fingers right now. Turns out I can still draw, though. Slower, and certain "gestures" aren't an option, but I can still get my art on.... #art #digitalart #GaryVFossArt

They say gentlemen prefer blonds. Or, at least, they say they say that. I've never heard anyone utter those words out loud except in, say, a movie...
Anyway, I like drawing hair for some strange reason. Blond, brunette, black? Heck, red, white, blue. It's all good. #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Catgirl? Catlady? Catperson? Girlcat?
First depiction of 2025. Might as well delve into the "superhero" genre that's so ignored these days. "One of us… one of us…."
In any case, a few little extras in this one. Cat-X should be as much cat as X, right? #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Raven Skull
I did a bunch of depictions of crows & ravens before actually drawing a raven skull. It's not strictly necessary, of course, to study the anatomy, but you do get a different understanding when you do. #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

I like drawing hair for some reason. I think it has to do with the sweeping, curving gestures one can make. It's dramatic and satisfying. It helps if the model has a glorious head of hair that needs documenting....

Who's up for Scoobie Snacks?
Tried things on this one that I think worked out. After the hair, I did the linework in color. Doing that doesn't skip linework, but does incorporate it into the coloring phase. Faster? idk. More experimentation needed.... #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Trying something a little different with this one. I usually go with straighter, more define lines and blended shadows. This is more like what you'd get with crayon or charcoal. #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Figured I'd do this one in color. Some details to take care of, but pretty much just that top to do now. It's a bit transparent, which will be interesting to see if I can convey.... #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

This time of year I go back through the depictions I've done in recent months and add Christmas hats to appropriate (and sometimes less appropriate) pics. Here's a couple. #Art #DigitalArt #GaryVFossArt

Apparently, there's some sort of scary holiday (a scariday?) coming up, so here's a depiction of Frankenstein's Monster. The movie version. If you know, you know.

Do you say VanGo, VanGock or VanGoch? (Clear your throat in Dutch.)
Anyway, here's four graphic/Warhol-style portraits of Vinnie.
I had a thing about heavy linework creating multiple-angled lines and these are among the results. I like to think VVG would approve.

Debated what to call this one. The Outlaw? Sheriff Stella? I Shot the Sheriff? Decided to go with Stella the Kid or just The Kid. I need to get started on my all girl version of The Magnificent Seven. I'll work backwards and do an all girl Seven Samurai later....
