I do find it entertaining that in the geeks for geeks examples, having C++ there actually helps with my personal understanding what recursion is, which tells me I've actually absorbed a thing or two from my big c++ book lol.

geeksforgeeks dot org is such a weird website. some of their articles are genuinely very good, but others are trash. idk why competent authors would choose to have their work associated with the site.

Denormalization is a technique used to avoid ugly joins. Not wrong, just not the normal Codd normalization.
