I wrote Kirby-Kuu because of a newfound love thanks to @nanrait.bsky.social but I did it for another reason too.

I wanted to challenge myself, to write with restriction, to learn a new style of poetry, after almost 2 years of free verse.

It was, for me, a success!

This is a hell of a barely legal opt-out from ClaudeAI.

First, you should not have to opt out, you should have to opt in.

Second, that gray check is really trying its hardest to conceal that it's actually a "yes."

That's not how TOS works. That's not how it works at all.

Midjourney's TOS doesn't apply to non-users, which was nearly all of the artists whose work was used to train it. My brain hurts reading this.

The scraping of Midjourney was perfectly legal as the posts were public domain data. Yes, here's the key section from Midjourney's Terms of Service around that era (effective August 18, 2022, during their early Discord beta/public phase). Based on the appearence of the female lead in the "bad future" clip. personal context (I'll try to be as brief but clear as possible): I've only saw 1 episode of El Tigre as a kid (plus had the Happy Meal toy of the Grampa.), but I've watched Book of Life when I was younger (before knowing it was the same creator, but still), so it still stings even if its the only projects of his I saw as a kid. As somebody who's only big experience with Gen AI was some CrAIon usage for funny pictures and an AI Dungeon period years ago, who's interest in the creative process (plus occasional dabbling into longer projects like series of arworks focusing on a cast, trying to make games, occasional media mixing for classes or my personal stuff, etc) , and who now interiorly cringes a bit each time he see usages of gen ai thanks to having learned the danger of this tool (especially when its beyond stuff like placeholders, and even then I prefer making it all myself rather than gen-ai), I'm ashamed of Jorge R Gutierrez's actions and declarations. https://youtube.com/shorts/ud7wspHUKpA?si=LImejYC10pVxvBQV P.S.
