The updated CSIRO GenCost report shows, yet again, that Small modular reactors (SMRs) remain the highest cost option.

‘Battery storage has shown the most dramatic cost reductions – down 20 per cent in the last 12 months alone – while solar has fallen another eight per cent.’

This is a very odd paragraph in Frontier's nuclear modelling.
Because we know about capacity factors and energy storage costs. AEMO knows about this. The CSIRO knows about this and very much accounted for it in GenCost.

Not the main point but it should be: CSIRO gencost is wildly understating the real costs of gas power with CCS here, and probably coal with CCS too.
