I don't think there's any chance that stays and I think the antislug may end up changed too. It's highly likely that a lot of this will have to be toned down or Killers hyper buffed to compensate. I also think it could be the lubing up of Survivor before the rough sex of the end of genrush tools.

I tend to keep it in just for the free breathing room, also I never don't encounter flashlights and so I've found it synergizes well with lightborn, bully squads gonna genrush lol

I'm serious on that last bit. BHVR has said they want to change other items to fit the new ones, there are only three other items in the game not swapped to the new system. And, we have seen the total nerfing of Guide, formerly the genrush class.
