took me a while to realize but the way adult hibari and yamamoto both unnerved genkishi in their respective fights is actually pretty similar
because their spirit seems unshakable even while being sliced and diced by his swords, it makes genkishi himself uneasy while fighting these two

adult hiba being even more of a stamina devil just makes sense though, he did defeat a whole army of millefiore's low to mid rank officers by himself after all
and still able to fight against genkishi with full power, ENOUGH to unnerve that man lol

also, adult hibari just look so good in this opening, okay 😤👏👏👏
i love how genkishi and hibari are both shown at the 「錆び付いているこんな時代の中で」part, the best fighters from both sides representing how this broken future has become all about survival of the fittest

also i forgot that this is the first time we actually see hibari making his opponents unnerved from his sheer stubbornness
sorry genkishi, but you're not that special 😂

The idea of Genkishi getting more flustered by his worth being acknowledged by someone than by them being straight ready to ride him is very cute to me.
He comes off as the type of person that's stone cold on the outside but feels a LOT and keeps it all bottled up.

and hibari getting pissed off with genkishi might be because he nearly lost one important chess piece (yamamoto) for the plan by genkishi's hand, which is kinda irie's fault for having such a difficult guy guarding his movements lol

by defeating genkishi (or at least leading genkishi to tsuna) hibari succesfully lead present tsuna to accomplish his own future self's goal of orchestrating the fake infiltration to reach the time machine and... find ways to actually undo the destruction made by byakuran

rewatching Reborn again because OF COURSE I DID, and i was wondering why hibari specifically ran off from kusakabe and chrome after he arrived with them to fight genkishi (and stopped yamamoto from getting killed)
and i think it's because genkishi is the key to execute tsuna and irie's plan

2) yamamoto is not the kind of guy who'll intimidate others with his physical appearance, which is why many of his enemies think he's just fucking around with them
ken, squalo, genkishi, daemon, even hibari himself all underestimate him UNTIL he actually shows his power and strength

but utilizing those advantages are not enough if the user is not capable of actually differentiating between what's real and what's not
so it's very cool to see yamamoto actually understand that crucial aspect about mist's users and applied his experience fighting genkishi to punch daemon down

it gives this sense of familiarity to his sentence, which is what makes me really confused when i first read that panel because WHY does hibari, the guy who doesn't care about everyone's growth is somehow confident that yamamoto is capable enough to defeat genkishi? 🤨🤔🤔🤔

hell, he actually managed to unnerved genkishi even though he's the one that gonna die in their fight
that kind of composure is something only a man with a plan can have, and future hibari, who has learned to depend on other people's strength, is able to maintain it

present hibari gets offended when people point out his weak points, even making a fool out of himself sometimes from it lol
but future hibari is able to keep his composure even after he realized that he's gonna be defeated by genkishi sooner or later

i'm impressed at how akira amano managed to find a way to contrive TWO hibari entrances in a single fight. first by saving yamamoto, and then by just switching in past hibari after future hibari was getting beaten by genkishi.

which, ngl... i think suits hibari as a character REALLY WELL, especially his future self! 🤓☝️
just read/watch his fight with genkishi, that's the definition of AURA right there 🥳👏👏👏

when genkishi actually beat him up, it makes the situation 10x funnier lol

and then as genkishi thought the fight is done with yamamoto and tsuna thinking he can finally reach irie, iris; the cloud user from millefiore and hibari; the cloud user from vongola, both arrived to the scene with a bang! 🤯🙏

the way genkishi is introduced by gamma as the giglio nero's traitor, and such we got to see his side of story of how the two families merged, and how gamma and gokudera's fight is decided not by their strength, but by their loyalty for their respective bosses... it's so damn good

but yeah that's one of thee most iconic outfit for tsuna to me, because it reminds me of his fight with genkishi and how badass tsuna truly is 😍🫶💓
