Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. In the midst of Reithwin Town, our adventurers encounter a slew of strange, undead characters. The first being Gerringothe Thorm, the greedy toll collector. "This town is dead," Aldiirn says, "there are no more visitors, no tolls to collect" Gerringothe can barely handle the revelation. "No tolls? No... gold!? I... I must go..." and she explodes into a pile of the gold she's hoarded. In the decrepit tavern, Aldiirn pretends to finish off a mug of ale. "This brew is so good I could drink until I explode!" "YES, DRINK!" the pig-like Thisobald Thorm bellows, "DRINK AND BE MERRY!" Thisobald's distended stomach rumbles and everyone ducks behind the bar... Aldiirn observes the sadistic surgeon Malus Thorm teaching undead nurses. "Seems to me your nurses need an expert not only to teach, but to lead - as an example." "I see!" Malus throws the patient off the operating table and takes his place. "Sisters! Come, soothe me with your scalpels!" Aldiirn muses on the past encounters. "If that was Ketheric Thorm's family... maybe all it will take to kill him is to ask him to do it." "Please!" Astarion laughs, "I'd kill myself to see that!"

​I instantly thought of Gerringothe Thorm—the BG3 undead toll-collector made of gold who hoards wealth and demands taxes from everyone she meets. The resemblance to Trump in both lore and this art is striking.

Didn't have a ton of time to play last night, but I did make it across the river.

Few moments are quite as satisfying as convincing Gerringothe to... "Pay it back." 😁

Then it was off to the bar to have a drink with Thisobald. The Thorm family are just piñatas at this point. 🎈
