Erasmus got roughed up in his first fight with Ghanima and Leto this morning.
He pushed Ghanima a little far and she was "aggressively correcting" him, but Leto saw his sister pushing back and just jumped in swinging.
Erasmus cried for like 2 minutes afterwards.

Gasp!
It took about 5 and a half hours before Leto AND Ghanima came downstairs.
I did not expect Ghanima to be this OK with this new situation anywhere near this soon.

I love all the created names in the Dune universe
Stilgar
Gurney Halleck
Chani
Duke Leto
Rabban
Feyd-Rautha
Irulan
Shaddam
Thufir Hawat
Wensicia
Ghanima
Javid…
And then there’s just this super crucial character named Duncan Idaho like something out of Point Break

Even though Leto and Ghanima have the memories of generations of ancestors I can't help but feel the book wants you to believe there's a wisdom in innocense.

Seemingly at the end Alia and Paul's powers pass on to Paul and Chani's children, Leto and Ghanima.
This leaves them aware from birth just like Alia was, making her the perfect person to raise them after Paul and Chani pass.
I hope Jessica is in Children of Dune too.

truly don't think they'll be able to go on and adapt more dune novels if they stick with the story, because leto and ghanima are uh. Like That

Depending on how much we get of Ghanima & Leto II, I look forward to that also.
I'd love for the series to go all the way out to adapting Chapterhouse even, personally.
Indications are Villeneuve stops here tho (and that we'll only get a bare hint of the two kids in this outing). We shall see.

Children of Dune by Frank Herbert
『デューン砂丘の子供たち』フランク・ハーバート
"The Children of Dune are twin siblings Leto and Ghanima Atreides. Like their father, the twins possess supernormal abilities—making them valuable to their manipulative aunt Alia, who rules the Empire in the name of House Atreides."

I‘m curious if & how DUNE 3 is going to handle Leto II and Ghanima.
Movie Chani and her story is entirely different from the Chani of the books.
(My theory is Chani was pregnant at end of PART TWO and has been hiding the kids from Paul and he’ll meet some really prescient teens late in PART THREE)

REALLY interested to see how the twins are incorporated into #DunePartThree. Chani’s pregnancy—rather struggles with it—is a driving factor for multiple characters in Messiah, but seems less so here. Especially since Paul’s inability to *see* twins is a major point in the end…
