Yeah, even with my long-time #GhostCloser campaign, I never dreamed he’d be depended on as our stopper for ‘27. But a leverage arm that showed he *could* close games in case of injury, or if a #1 guy was unavailable? That’s valuable.
But he must be able to throw consistently near 100 to do that.

Drat, no back-to-back #GhostCloser.
Honestly I would have liked to see it even if he failed. At some point you need to see how he bounces back and if he can maintain his velocity.
Maybe Senga said no (and if so, fine), but no need to protect him, IMO.

Watched the replay due to MLB greed blackouts, and he looked *really* good. Maybe I’m projecting, but I feel I could see the confidence on Kodai’s face this time out, and love that smile at the end!

I feel I’m being misunderstood here. I love Senga and have been boosting #GhostCloser for longer than most here.
That said, the #Mets have holes to fill. If we max his value through closing the rest of ‘26, we increase our options. Closers have more value than setup men.

I’d argue the #GhostCloser *experiment* is working very well. He’s primarily fast/fork as we’d expect, and he’s trying to see how his other pitches fit into the role.
Throwing more of those “get me over” forks for strikes to set up the Ghost. His K to end the game was a textbook example.
