Probably would have had my first salmon today (or two, tree of ‘em ) but every time I feel a strong strike, I set the hook, then pull this in… I’m using a clinch knot x6-7 wraps, and gobbing it up real good with spit before I tighten it up. Ribeye on grill, rare, with cast iron sear. Salt, pepper, and a touch of garlic powder, all drenched in butter during the last few minutes. Served with mashed potatos and potato slayer seasoning (shits bomb), grilled asparagus, and garlic herb cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeños.
