Happy mums and there little scamps on an afternoon tramp along Hadrian’s Wall from Gilsland to Birdoswald today. A first for me to see a toddler trip like this.

Started the day with Turkey Vulture as my 259th species on Monhegan Island. Ended with Harlequin Duck at Gilsland Farm as my 235th there.

Here are some more snowdrops from the next door route Brampton to Gilsland, including an unusual fairy ring. I don't know if that was deliberately planted or if they naturally develop like that.

I think it's a female but it's a tough angle to decide! The coloration on the back was a light blue 🤷♂️
