Day 2 in Kyoto. We explored Gion and the temple gardens, visited the Pokémon Centre (again haha) and made our way to a sesame crepe place that we saw online. Visited a couple of bars in the evening and this morning got a coffee from a mysterious bear 🐻

Gion in Kyoto has the geisha district. It's a really cool area. Definitely check it out.
I spent a few days in Tokyo, and I feel like I barely scratched the surface. I really enjoyed Shinjuku. The izakayas and restaurants we checked out were great.

NICE! Also worth checking, the big department stores like Daimaru might also hold events like Ikebana or Kimono shows. also, check the eastern Gion area, there might be an chance to see some of the most elegant older ladies in impeccable kimono as they come to hear young maiko practice :D

if you're ever in Gion, Kyoto, Japan check out Neko-bo. Its a really cute cafe/bar with a cat theme. No cats there, its not just a cozy little place filled with cat plushes, cat figurines, cat pictures, a big cat fursuit head, etc. They have gluten free deserts!
