Orlesian (Ishgardian Elezen), King’s Tongue (Eorzean), Tevene (Garlean), Hannish, Doman, Mamook. Gisèle is a polyglot and picks up language very easily. Mostly bc she learned many as a child and there’s similarities between languages on the Seventh and Source. But she doesn’t need the Echo for it.

#gislore “mamounette” btw is so so closely affectionate and loving, it’s basically like “mommy”. She is almost always crying when she refers to her mother this way.
“Mamae”, the Dalish word for mother, or rarely “mamounette”, which is Orlesian. Gisèle’s first language was Orlesian and she was only 8 yrs old when she was taken away by the Templars to the Circle Tower. Dalish terms of affection connect her to her lost heritage. She never met her dad before dying.

Gisèle had an extremely complex view of it. On one hand it was VERY traumatic getting shoved into a Garlean and losing her magic, an intrinsic part of her. Ardbert took the wheel and helped her through it. But losing control of her own body danced the fine line of fear and desire, as an anguissette.

#gislore idk if I ever explained over here why Gisèle’s title is Princess Consort rather than Queen Consort but in universe Aymeric left it entirely up to her preference and she asked for Princess entirely because the inherent power difference between that and King strongly appealed to her D/s kink.

I realize now I missed the “time” part of that answering the qotd and the elpis situation could be a 50 post thread 🧍🏾♀️
