first big fancy family event I went to, ex told me to buy a new dress "not from Glassons." I ended up buying this beautiful crushed satin pink & cream gown thing and the first thing anyone said to me (after being handed a glass of french champagne by a french waiter) was "NOW, who are you wearing?'

Seriously? Why the Hell would anyone go to the considerable expense and inconvenience to shop at... uh... Whitcoulls, Glassons, Barkers, Hallensteins or any other store you could find in pretty much every mall and retail park in the country?

Dyed. The different colours in the natural wool pick the dye up differently. Which is cool. If you want uniformity go to Glassons. As hoped the dark colour makes the beads pop out.

Yesterday the 16yo and I popped into Glassons and the assistant near the door asked if she could help so 16yo said we were looking for skirts for her and I added but not really short & not maxi and the assistant turned and showed us this.
