Here is another Eilean Donan picture for the anniversary of Glensheil. The castle was destroyed in the 1719 Rising so the beautiful castle you see is mostly 20th century.

Happy Solstice Yule to one and all - we discovered the little-known Glensheil Henge yesterday, only a low eroded bank remains but originally surrounded by timber pillars and used for ceremonies including the winter Solstice. Magical setting at the head of Loch Duich, but totally unprotected.. ❤️🌞🌙🌎

For a number of reasons, it make sense to me to do the #SouthGlenShielRidge over 2 days.

I didn’t see the point in rushing & knocking my pan in to do the 7 Munros in 1 day.
