From OZON to No-GoZone

The colony is also looking at a dart hookup via gozone.

Ditto flower mound.

These agreements would be for a small handful of para transit/GoZone vehicles on the road

I know the Mariah Carrey song. I think I know like 3 seconds of choosing texas that I might have heard someone listening to in a GoZone when they wern't listening to news radio christian radio or various R&B stations

Caught a GoZone up to Denton and this girl headed back to UNT for classes was there w/o a working phone so now we're chilling on the way up together. Transit will make you so many friends.

So my Amtrak pulled up to Dallas and I wasn't gonna have enough time to get all the way back up to Denton AND eat(our Sunday service is abysmal, the A-Train literally doesn't run on Sundays and the GoZone replacement stops at 6), but this nice homeless guy just handed me a bagged lunch.

they're looking at partnering with the Transit app (available now but w/ limited features bc no official partnership) to offer more route planning, improve real time detour info, and they could get light GoZone integration into the Transit app

basically if you cant afford an uber , lyft, youre stuck with gozone which also sucks and have terrible drivers. gozone is apparently the replacement for destroying 2 important bus routes in town.

City of Allen is looking at a GoZone service to connect into their redline stop. Interesting that they'd do it w DCTA not Dart GoLink, but I have no idea what's going on over there so I can't comment on that

They are currently talking about contracted services. They've been doing various bits of service, mostly para transit, for miscellaneous cities, but now they're talking about adding GoZone to Frisco as a path to membership for them

Dat heb je inderdaad met Lemmenswijken. Ook te mijnent zijn al jaren geen parkeerwachters gezien.

Day 5 of #WeekWithoutDriving to highlight what it’s like for 30% of Americans who can’t drive due to disability, age or income.

Taking on-demand GoZone again. The app indicates it will route my driver through the parking lot…

they're modelling out some service costs for frisco. the way that DCTA contracts with member cities is to enter a tax agreement where the city gives some portion of its 2c sales tax (state takes 6.25%, city can tax up to 2c more). Frisco could get gozone and paratransit for 1/8c in their model

Anyway, I made it home by 5:23 PM, which wasn’t bad at all!

I may use GoZone again this week just to hear from non-driving passengers about their transportation challenges.

DCTA spends ~$4M a year on buses and about $10.4M a year on GoZone.

the buses get ~1.8M rides per year (and that's with some frankly terrible routes), GoZone gets $.9M per year.

In other words, a GoZone ride costs DCTA over 4x a bus ride.

The mayor asks if "Access," the service max described using this time, is GoZone or Span. It's neither.
