You are not truly an SRW until you have one schlocky show of questionable quality. Or a show that literally only old men on the dev team actually watched (see Godsigma).

Yeah, I've watched all of Golion, all of Zambot, I'm about half-way through Daltanious, I've watched the Daimos compilation movie Starbirds and the first few episodes of the show as well as the first few episodes of Combattler V, Voltes V, and Godsigma. Definitely still working my way through it!

Here's a November 27, 1983 article talking about Godaikin and specifically mentioning God Marz. So around the same time as GoBots first hitting store shelves (but after Diakron and Machine Men). Of course, that 1982 article only shows Godsigma and mentions Voltes so I mean, God Marz coulda been in.

David was over to watch the livestream. When the trailer started -- last one of the night, natch! -- and we realized what we were looking at, we kinda both flipped out.

Apparently of hepatitis (although the magazine didn't state the cause of death). I think it's also where I read that Golion was intended to be much lighter in tone because of blowback about Godsigma being too dark.
