The initial story I came up with was Gim Inpyeong visiting the court of Goguryeo, a northern Korean kingdom, as an ambassador. However, this story is improbable because Goguryeo and Silla were at war at the time (566 CE). So he's hiding his identity here, posing as a Japanese diplomat.
