Today's session & video reminded me not 2 worry about "perfect". Movement still feels good even if you didn't go as heavy as you wanted, as far as you wanted or as fast as you wanted.

1st squats were like good mornings. My face says it all. Nearly talked myself out of pressing the red plates but💪🏾. Rushed the deadlifts because I was out of time. Gonna have to reprogram to make sure there's time to be safe. #goingintherightdirecton #selfcare #selflove #goodenough #notperfect

Subconsciously, I think I had to squat without sleeves to justify #deloading but you got to do what you got to do. Happily no snap-crackle-and-pop in the knees. No time to wait for bench press so chest press had to do.

Got in, did the basics and got out. Walking to and from the car was hard but the lifting was mercifully uneventful. Post-injury, squatting less than this has resulted in serious pain so I'm happy to be #goingintherightdirecton albeit SLOWLY. Grateful to have this #movement back in my life for now.

Happy that the #overheadpress is still increasing without any hint of forearm/ elbow pain. Is it me or does the #deadlift look more like a #Romaniandeadlift? Might just be because the weight is still relatively light. #startingover is harder than starting but #goingintherightdirecton

I REALLY didn't want to go this morning and not having my earphones was almost the last straw. Glad I was able to show up for myself though.

Bit of a grind this morning but I was there. I'm feeling wiped out but my elbow doesn't hurt so I'll take that win. 57.5kg for the working sets. #GoingInTheRightDirecton albeit slowly.
