Really good read. But I'm surprised it leaves out a very material regime effect on ordinary gamers: what the AI goldrush has done to the cost of PC components. My younger son's life and culture is gaming, and this isn't the only reason he loathes AI, but it's one reason.

Really good read. But I'm surprised it leaves out a very material regime effect on ordinary gamers: what the AI goldrush has done to the cost of PC components. My younger son's life and culture is gaming, and this isn't the only reason he loathes AI, but it's one reason.
