🎉 Today is my 1 year Googleversary! 🎉

I'll be honest, I was so nervous to start at Google. After working in my last job for nearly 5 years, change felt really scary. Plus changing what Cloud provider I would be working on, felt like it could be quite risky. But it was a risk worth taking.

My first Googleversary 🎉 I cannot believe it's been a year already. Thanks to all my teammates who made this year awesome and also special thanks to @astamatok for this gift 😄

Sept. 15 was my 1-year Googleversary. Got a congratulatory email and a celebration bot GIF. But last night at 6:08, I got laid off, as did 5 others on my team. We got 60 days’ notice, which means Google laid off at least 500 people and had to file a WARN notice. It’s used bookshop ownership for me!

I cried for 15 minutes straight. This is what makes everything I do worth it.
