In the #GospelOfTheDay (Lk 21:25-28,34-36), Jesus invites us to lift our gaze toward Heaven to better understand the things of the earth.

The #GospelOfTheDay is a call to conversion, both tender and urgent. God wants us to live, to open our eyes, and return to Him. To repent is to leave the paths on which we lost our way, and to follow the Way of Life, opening our hearts to the sole joy that never fades.

Instead, we all gain joy, wisdom and a better future when the law of love interrupts that of calculation, when the experience of mercy broadens that of merit, and when the gift of peace suspends rivalries and brings us closer together in gratitude. #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 20:1–16) 2/2

The #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 5:17-37) offers us this valuable teaching: minimal righteousness is not enough. We must have great love, which is possible with the power of God.

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens”, says the Lord in the #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 11:25–30). Jesus takes upon himself humanity wounded by evil in order to heal and care for it.

In the #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 10:26-33), Jesus draws a parallel between what we hear “in private,” namely, what is in the secret of our hearts, and what we are called to proclaim to everyone. 1/2

Piety and charity, mercy and abandonment: these are the virtues of St. Joseph that the #GospelOfTheDay offers us in these last days of #Advent. 1/2

We cannot pray to God as “Father” and then be harsh and insensitive towards others. We must rather let ourselves be transformed by His goodness, patience, and mercy, so that His face may be reflected in ours as in a mirror. #GospelOfTheDay (Lk 11:1-13)

Jesus’ action in the #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 14:13-21) teaches us that nothing is discarded when it is shared. Hoarding and waste, however, are two sides of the same evil: greed. 1/2

The #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 4:1-11) invites us to view Lent as a luminous path. Through prayer, fasting and almsgiving, we can renew our cooperation with the Lord, so He can craft our lives as unique masterpieces.

The #GospelOfTheDay (Jn 9:1-41) narrates the healing of a man blind from birth. We too are healed by the love of Christ and are called to live our faith with “open eyes.”

In the #GospelOfTheDay (Mt 16:21-27) Peter, even in his impulsiveness, teaches us two important things. The first is, even in such moments, never to cease our dialogue with the Lord. 2/3
