Logic! I used to go to Graffham for walks as a kid, and an Australian woman from my course lived there in a massive house, we did a bonfire night at hers I think.

St. Giles, Graffham. Our son was christened there, and once told the full congregation as he was trying to escape from Xmas service with a full nappy that he had 'done a wee and a turd'.

I personally think the constituency is too big; it stretching from basically Steyning to Graffham is mad.

Ah, realised I meant Graffham Water. I always think it's called Swaffham water because it's near Swaffham.

Halfway up the north side of The South Downs.
Looking down on the village of Graffham, where I once lived in a tiny and beautiful tied cottage which used to be the village "nick" the bathroom was the old cell

🪶East Anglia day 4 with @colscho1.bsky.social. Returned home today via RSPB Lakenheath for Hobbies and Cranes, then to Graffham Water for this stunning Spotted Sandpiper. Also saw a smart drake Smew nearby. A perfect end to great trip.

Back from a most fabulous day starting with a medicinal herb walk with Gwen's Garden in the beautiful village of Graffham. Then a celebratory lunch for Ness's birthday ♥ Learnt lots, laughed lots, ate lots.

Anglian Water hosted a visit to Graffham Water by several members of the Province, organised by Descensus Aquarum Lodge in Ely. They learned about the challenges of running a water supply reservoir which also provides a haven for wild life and recreation opportunities.

Triceratops fossil up for auction
For some 70 million years, the remains of Trey the triceratops lay in sediment beneath Wyoming. Unearthed in 1993 by Lee Campbell and Allen Graffham, the iron-red fossil skeleton spent 28 years loaned to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis.

This was taken last summer. I didn't see any at Graffham where I found the moths in 2017 but I did find an entirely new population (and quite a heatlhy one too) at Hesworth Common.

1/2 #speciesaday no. 686 is Oblong-leaved Sundew. Not usually as common as Round-leaved Sundew in Sussex. Find it on bare exposed black peaty mud (M16 - along with Sphagnum compactum and Marsh Clubmoss). This one appeared on a scrape at Hesworth Common last year, it also popped up again at Graffham.

2/2 I have 24 records from three sites. Most are from Graffham Common (where it seems to be lost) and Iping Common where in both places it is/was dependant on the creation of bare ground to keep it going. I have seen huge numbers of plants in the New Forest though.
