#SarahPDukeGardens One more #Chrysanthemum that I call buttercream frosting, but which is known as C. "Whiteout"

#GratitudePhotos #DukeGardens #BloomScrolling #FlowersOfBlueSky #StephaniesVision
A close-up view of a large chrysanthemum bloom with densely packed, elongated petals. The petals are creamy white with a soft hint of pale yellow near the center, creating a layered, almost sculptural texture. Each petal curves gently inward, giving the flower a full, rounded appearance. The background is blurred, keeping the focus entirely on the intricate details and delicate color variations of the petals.

A few #GratitudePhotos from this week, plus some #Landscape images from Virginia's #ShenandoahValley over Thanksgiving.
1. Sunrise overlooking Shenandoah National Park
2. Virginia #cows at sunrise
3. #Snow in central NC!
4. Neighbors' ornamental kale #Bloomscrolling
Landscape at sunrise with golden light breaking through thick clouds over distant mountains - Shenandoah National Park. Rays of sunlight spread across the sky, illuminating green fields and a narrow paved road that curves into the distance. A bare tree branch extends from the left foreground, and a wooden fence runs alongside the road. A pastoral scene at sunrise featuring a white cow with black spots standing behind a wire fence in a grassy field. Another darker cow grazes farther back. The sky is filled with dramatic clouds tinged with pink, orange, and purple hues as the sun rises over distant mountains. The warm light contrasts with the cool tones of the landscape. A winter woodland scene with tall, leafless trees standing close together. The ground is lightly dusted with snow, and a narrow creek runs through the center, reflecting the trees and sky. Sunlight streams in from the upper left corner, creating bright rays and casting long shadows across the forest floor. A close-up of an ornamental kale plant with vibrant purple and pink ruffled leaves at the center, fading to green toward the edges. Tiny droplets of water and a small patch of ice rest on the leaves, giving a frosty appearance.

3. Russian Sage
4. C. Apple Valley

#GratitudePhotos #DukeGardens #BloomScrolling #FlowersOfBlueSky #StephaniesVision
A detailed view of a Chrysanthemum flower with long, thin, curling petals radiating outward from the center. The petals are bright yellow with orange-red tips, and the center of the flower is a mix of deep red and orange hues. The intricate, spiraling shapes of the petals give the bloom a dynamic, fiery appearance. A close-up of a cluster of tubular, bright red-orange flowers with yellow tips, known as the Firecracker or Hummingbird Plant. The flowers grow in dense bunches on fuzzy, gray-green stems and leaves. The background is softly blurred, showing more foliage in muted grey-green tones, creating a vibrant contrast with the vivid red blossoms. A vertical shot of tall, slender stems of Russian Sage with clusters of small, delicate purple flowers. The stems are covered in silvery-green leaves, and the flowers appear airy and light, creating a sense of movement. The background includes more foliage and a gray stone path, softly out of focus, highlighting the vivid purple blossoms in the foreground. A cluster of vibrant chrysanthemum flowers "Apple Valley" with petals that are white at the center and streaked with bright pink toward the edges. Each bloom has a round, lime-green center. The flowers are densely packed, creating a lush display in the foreground. Behind them, the background shows soft-focus yellow foliage.
