GREEDFALL, cont. impressed the dev created their own engine to run the game. the budget & team were small so interior locations are cloned, rural regions are broken into smaller areas & there's little exploring off main paths, but despite that Teer Fradee still has a grand sense of scale.

I finally beat Greedfall last night! It was a cool story, but lacked that magical *something*.. and the ending fell a little flat. But I can see the dedication and effort that was put into it.. so many dialogue lines! I was honestly impressed.
Definitely will check out 2 when its on sale!

I've FINALLY gotten around to playing Greedfall 2. I bought it way back and played a bit of EA, but hadn't gotten a chance to seriously sit down with it. Still feel bad for Spiders. The studio deserved better.

So, whole bunch of hours into Greedfall now and despite some nice aspects, very disappointed by it. It takes this super rosy look at colonialism and has you and your empire always acting nice and innocent over what its doing. Its just really whitewashy and weird.
