Fluvioglacial features of Glenmore, Cairngorms. Stunning An Lochan Uaine (Green Loch) is an esker dammed lake. Green colour is caused by fairies washing clothes say locals. Alternatively it's tree reflection or algae. Esker is marked on photo.

Today's picture of Scotland is Lochan Uaine (The Green Loch), Glenmore, near Aviemore. The loch gets its green colour from the fairies washing their clothes in the water. 😉
