I once heard someone use the word "grelief" and it feels like it fits the way I'm feeling about this. Grief for what was but relief that what it became is now gone

Grelief is a good one. I've also seen "groy" - combo of grief and joy. Personally, both resonate.

Grief is tricky at the best of times, complicated and very tricky to navigate at their worst.

Grelief sums it up pretty well.

Ohhh, this is so relatable. Being a late-diagnosed #Autistic woman can mean making peace with the twin realizations that we haven't been imagining what we perceive AND that we often fail to understand what's happening. It's equal parts relief + grief. Grelief? Can that be a thing?!
