Grey Headed Lapwing:
Noted in 2023 as ‘one of the most hyped birds of the year’ after it was spotted in east #Northumberland UK & noted for its British & Irish Rarity Status as ‘Mega’, #GreyHeadedLapwing is usually found in the far east of Asia! Looks like it’s staying?

Traffic warden ticketing the many cars on the double-yellows at Low Newton. Car park is full. You may have to park a considerable way away and walk. #greyheadedlapwing

Well #NorthUist simply never disappoints. Was within spitting distance of the 2016 Black-billed Cuckoo when it was found. Groundhog day again today when @Gary_D_Woodburn's #GreyHeadedLapwing pitches up down the road with the cuckoo garden visible in the distance! What a place. 💚
