(Painted in 2007)
A photo showing Games Workshop’s White Dwarf 30th Anniversary Model from 2007 from the front. The White Dwarf, Grombrindal, with his defining white beard, is raising his axe while standing atop a round shield. The shield is carried by Gotrek Gurnisson (the dwarf on the left side of the picture, with an orange colored beard, and carrying an axe in his right hand) and Josef Bugman (the dwarf on the right, with a cream colored beard, and a large mug of beer in his left hand). Jumped on blender today to design then print this base adapter movement tray.

Grombrindal and pals can now lead my hammerers to war!
A movement tray with slots for 20mm bases to make them 25mm in size, with a special slot for the white dwarf 30th anniversary model to fit in on his 20x40mm base so he takes up a 50mm square

My current project pile is very exciting right now!

More gyrocopters are always good.

Hammerers are absolutely iconic.

And then my full-metal dwarf army needs a king on shieldbearers. As far as I know theres only 1 metal choice!

Gotrek, Bugman and Grombrindal join the throng!

This is cool to see that we have Gazul being put forward better.

This also might be tying into a Grombrindal short story from AGES ago where he got a lost ghost filled Karak in Shyish to fight against Nagash after he got imprisoned at the end of Broken Realms.

"Meet a Gholem of Gazul. What’s a Gholem? Who is Gazul? Well, for now all we can say is that it marches to war amidst the war throngs of the Khazalites Holds – an all-new Duardin faction for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. We’ll delve into the lore, rules and even more sweet new miniatures on Friday in the live reveal show."

More dwarves! 😅
I feel like I should do a count of all the dwarves I've painted since I started mini painting 🤔
One of the first minis I painted was The White Dwarf, Grombrindal.

Three in focus dwarves in a bar scene: a dark skinned flag bearer, a red dressed waitress and a lady carrying a baby in one hand, holding a metal cauldron in the other. A dark skinned flag bearing dwarf, with long salt and pepper hair and a braided beard. Red dress ginger haired lady carrying 4 wooden tankards full of beer. A lady dwarf in grey clothes balancing a baby against her hip and some form of metal pot on her shoulder.

My boi Tornus representing.

Also the newest Godeater’s Blood novel that just came out gives even more implications of former Chaos lords joining the Cities & Order so that’s excellent to see more of.(plus the last Grombrindal book showing a FEC ghoul being reforged into a heroic Stormcast too)

If I had a chance to paint this model again I would, but it's another gift that I painted. 😅
On the plus side this is one of the models that encountered me to learn how to properly paint white correctly!

The shield is carried by Gotrek Gurnisson (the dwarf on the left side of the picture, with an orange colored beard, and carrying an axe in his right hand) and Josef Bugman (the dwarf on the right, with a cream colored beard, and a large mug of beer in his left hand). Two Empire generals for Warhammer Fantasy. One is a custom built one out of state trooper and knight bits with a custom made cape. He is wearing red and blue, the colors of Altdorf. In one hand he holds a helmet, and with his right hand he raises a one-handed sword. The other is the mounted one from the commanders kit, armed with a large sword and a shield. He is wearing red and white, the colors of the Reiksguard. The horse is black with golden armor. Games Workshop's plastic model for Karl Franz on Deathclaw. The griffon has a yellow beak, red feathers, yellow talons with black claws, and beige blacklegs. It wears a silver chest piece with purple ornaments and a red and blue crest with the initials KF, which are written-out underneath as "Karl Franz". Its rider wears a white sash, and golden painted plate armor, His helmet has red and white feathers. His right hand wields Ghal Maraz. In the background are trees and a page from Jon Hodgson's More Skies backdrop book, showing a blue sky with clouds. An Empire Knight for Warhammer Fantasy Battles. It's a Reiksguard Preceptor, mounted on a white horse. While he is following a gravel road through a forest, he spurs his horse into a fight against an unseen enemy. His sword drawn, and he yells a battle cry. His and his horse’s armor are silver of color with golden ornaments, he also is equipped with a white shield with a red skull. His tunic has red and white stripes, so do the plume on his helmet and the horse’s head piece. The horse a caparison with a red and white checkered pattern. In the background are a guinea pig, a tower, and a backdrop showing a forest on the horizon and a blue sky above it.

Grombrindal - the White Dwarf - seen here in the guise of a captain of the Ironbreakers, as he appeared at the battle of Drakescale Pass, where forces of the Khazâd held for a day and a night against vast hordes of Orcs and their trollish allies.

#nerdlings
A dwarf with a large beard and a shock of hair, both white. He wears heavy armour in fairly utilitarian iron, carrying a large octagonal shield on his back and leaning upon a large axe.

I dont think you're hearing him properly. In keeping with the GW writers' cultural background, Grombrindal actually shouts "TOMMY COOPER!", paying tribute to the popular Welsh stage magician who performed his last at Her Majesty's theatre in 1984.

"Only in death does duty end. Just like that!"
