It would be interesting to see the effect #GroundwaterRestoration would have on the need for reservoirs, but that would need more beavers, more peatland restoration and most of all reducing run-off by banning impermeable paving as much as possible and making sure SUDS are actually built #SlowTheFlow

We do, but we also need to ensure that when e.g. extensions are built then rainwater run-off mitigations are both required and enforced, and the latter seems to be a problem.

A system of grants for retrofitting soakaways would be good and would help with #GroundwaterRestoration and #SewageOverflows
