As much as I'd enjoy a world where there were more than one sequel to Teslagrad, I do appreciate how varied Rain's output is. I feel the same way about Drinkbox and Guacamelee.

I love MVs and I'm very interested now but you nailed the point. Best example for me recently is Nine Sols. I know it's loved and fair enough, but for me it didn't land because it didn't know what it wanted to be and the MV elements felt like an afterthought. Guacamelee too (even though I loved it)

Drinkbox's Guacamelee was mentioned there, but a game of theirs I love that I think gets overlooked is Severed. A touch based dungeon crawler on various touchscreen systems including Switch that's very different in tone.
